So you want us to publish your project? Fantastic! Please read the notes below to ensure you send us what we need and how we need it.
We like submissions via our online form.
We accept Articles & Projects from all over the world.
We don't have formal criteria for selecting projects but in general are looking for content that is fresh, innovative, newsworthy, has a good story behind it and fantastic images. We get tons of submissions and we can't reply to everyone, although we do look at everything.
How to submit a project
To submit a project for consideration, simply SUBMIT your jpeg images (at least 2000 pixels on the shortest sides), some text about the project and links where appropriate. Please have a look at our copyright policy before submitting material. Please don't scrimp on the number of images – the more, the better.
Then what happens?
If we like the look of the project we'll be in touch. It may take us some time to get back to you.
Meanwhile we'll add you to our contributors mailing list (a list of people who've submitted projects to us or have been published). You'll therefore receive the occasional email from us. If you do not want to receive these emails, you can unsubscribe at anytime and never receive another notice from us.
We like exclusivity
We are more likely to publish projects that are sent to us exclusively. If you are offering us an exclusive, please make this clear in your submissions form.
We like videos
If you have a video related to your project add them to your submission, we embed your links from your Youtube or Vimeo accounts.
We like plans, drawings and sketches
Plans, sections and sketches are very popular with our readers, so please include them if you can.
We like to credit everyone
Send us project credits! Especially for the images. We are rarely able to pay for photography but we will happily give credits, links and full copyright details where appropriate. Many photographers happily give us free imagery as publication on MODERN ARCHITECTURAL JOURNAL is a good way to promote their work and often leads to commissions from other publications.
Share share share
When we've published your project please share like crazy on social media, newsletters, your web site and so on. It will help your project get more visits and more attention. Don't be shy!
Get involved in the comments
Hopefully people will comment on your project in our comments section. Hopefully the comments will be intelligent and constructive. Even if they're not please get involved by responding, challenging and generally engaging with our audience.
